Mountain moorland car park – Unknown location
The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge.
Does anyone recognise the style of the name sign and which organisation used it? The view is fairly obscure but there is a passing resemblance to the Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve. Can anyone identify the location?

In the background is the area now covered in scrub woodland thanks to the efforts of the NTS reserve team over the past decades. Check the view against the more recent Google car image to see the stark effect of grazing exclusion. The trail leads up to Beinn Ghlas behind and on to Ben Lawers summit too.
