Speymouth forest office sign assembly
The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge.
The very new looking building behind could well be the new forest office and part of the Balnacoul complex at Mosstodloch consisting of the forest office and stores, forest signs/ furniture workshop as well as the Mechanical Engineers workshop.
There is no mention of the Forest District designation and hence the photograph must have been taken prior to 1983.
Can anyone name the man erecting the sign?
