Aerial fertilising with Aerospatiale Lama helicopter G-DASL
The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge. Year about 1979-1981.
The loading crew are using a Unimog (EVC883T) fitted with Jones Highland Bear hydraulic hoist arm to lift the fertiliser bags and fill the spreading hoppers.
The PDF shows the loading arm of the Highland Bear in more detail.
In the back ground there are some cars on a forest road and in the far distance the hillsides appear to be covered with birch trees.
Any suggestions as to location are welcome.
