Operations in a large forestry quarry
The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge.
The back ground detail of buildings other machines and ongoing quarry material loading points to a large long established quarry. The strong box construction of the tipper lorry points to a later period than suggested by the registration number of the Caterpillar four wheel front bucket loader CAV756L (Aberdeen 1973?).
Any information on the location and lorry types and potential operators would be welcome.
