Forest Road formation
The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge.
This is an image of a road formation most likely cut by the blade of a dozer. Looks to be a dry site with good broken stone under the surface. Formation by 2020 standards is very narrow with hardly enough room for roadside drain and pavement to run current size timber lorries.
