The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge.
Some of the wartime block defences can just be seen on the water line in the distance. The forest is obviously still quite young and the sand erosion is biting back into the plantation.
Can anyone identify the gentleman standing with notes in hand?
