Presentation Watch to James A B Macdonald
The photograph is courtesy of Malcolm Macdonald, London area, and is of his father’s watch presented by the staff of Glenbranter Forest in 1923.
The inscription reads:
To Mr J A B Macdonald on the occasion of his leaving Glenbranter from tenants and employees on the Estate – December 1923
James had barely worked there for two years arriving as a working ganger and was in the process of transferring to be forester in Edensmuir Forest in Fife. Edensmuir Forest was at that time a satellite of Tentsmuir Forest.
