Deep peat valley bottom ploughed and ready for cross draining

Economic Forestry Group’s site at Moness near Aberfeldy. The site has been ploughed with a double furrow tine as the tale tale central groove down the wide flat bottom drain indicates.

A different era when lodgepole pine was the choice of the day but now this deep peat area on the flat would almost certainly be left untouched.
