Humpy Draining Plough bogged at Loch Craggie, Benmore, Shin Forest
The photographs are courtesy of Donnie Stirling, Tomich, who was a ploughing tractor driver for a number of years. Photographs provide with help from Sandra Reid.
Deep draining plough badly bogged near the bottom of a very even peat covered hill slope. The ground has been single furrow ploughed and in the process of being cross drained at regular intervals as can be seen.
The winch rope is now attached to the plough hitch and with the pull the whole assembly is pivoting on the draining head and likely to land squarely on its set of double wheels.
Not certain of the name of the man observing the action but could be Jimmy Henderson. Can anyone confirm?
