Caterpillar king – overlooking a steep worksite at Fanans

A spectacular image in a spectacular location where Geordie was ploughing at Fanans Farm for Tilhill Forestry – looking down on the Pass of Brander to the right with the slopes of Ben Cruachan rising above, Bridge of Awe hidden by tractor hill and then Loch Etive and Bonawe Quarry to the distant left.
Geordie says:
“Fanans Farm – a good hill for ploughing. Lots of ledges and different angles. Not boring as some places
There sure were a lot of Buzzards around. They would sit on the furrow and grab the mouse. In the morning they ate the whole mouse in one go, in late evening they would tear the skin off and just eat the flesh – great birds to watch.”
