The Land Rover has been given a quick lift via the forklift with jib boom modification and Ian Scorgie is giving it a thorough clean.

The workshop yard exhibits all the vehicles and machines and various parts of ploughs that make up an accumulation of years of contracting. Beyond the D6 tractor is a large plough frame possibly for mounting and pulling multiple tine spikes or twin plough heads.

Any information and names of other people who worked there would be very welcome.

Geordie confirmed that the tractor in the yard is a BTD8 International and the Red Frame is for a double ripper ( probably manufactured by Clarks of Parkgate ) Comment left on 06 October 2020 at 20:48 by Tom McLellan

My uncle Peter (Peter Allen) had the sawmill as you come into Callander. Good times up there. I knew Scorgie. He was a good welder and a lot of other things! Comment left on 25 January 2026 at 10:57 by Douglas Whitehill
Eddie Burnett from thornhill bought Andrew's international btd8 crawler for hill drainage a long time ago and recent sold it to a collector from Moffat Comment left on 02 February 2026 at 20:42 by Andrew Burnett
