Scotstoun Forest Home life – Next to Griffin Forest

Geordie has submitted an image of his Land Rover transport and of his caravan living quarters when working on the forest sites. Forestry plough men moved about from site to site and whereas some did seek out accommodation with local people many just lived in caravans only going home at weekends or less often. The work sites were often quite far from houses and villages anyway and not practical to run back and fore daily.
