Forest Fire Sign – Seafield Estates

This iconic fire sign design has seldom been bettered and conveys its message unequivocally. This particular sign has been produced for Seafield Estates but initially the design was used very extensively by the Forestry Commission all over the country. Many other estates with extensive forestry also used the sign certainly in the 1960s.
Does anyone know the origin of the design, where it was manufactured and when they were produced?
