Maintenance lorry outside No 19/20 Achnamara Forestry Houses

Another lorry image this time one used by building maintenance team based in the camp at Cairnbaan. It does have a small shelter on the back possibly to keep products such as cement dry rather than shelter men. On the other hand perhaps some of the team travelled in the shelter.
Over behind the houses can be seen Seafield Farm close to the tree edge. Fiona also recalls that the kitchens in the houses had fireproof linings in some areas which were made from asbestos and that some of the joiners may have worked with the material. The joiners and other team members also tackled problems with windows and doors, improvements in toilets and bathrooms and critically maintained the sewage systems for all the houses.
