A lovely image of local people at Achnamara Village perhaps having a kick about at a weekend. They are from the left:

Ian and Angus Gillies lived up at Barnagad Croft with their parents and both worked in Knapdale Forest for many years. Tommy and Alan sons of forest workers in common with many others also worked for the Forestry Commission for a time after leaving school.

The old leather style football brings back memories of a ball that increased substantially in weight in the course of play as the leather cover soaked up the water from wet grass.
