Aerial View of Griffin Forest from Helicopter delivering fencing material
The photographs are courtesy of John Macdonald, who was a Tilhill forester at the time of the establishment of Griffin Forest, Perthshire.
John comments, "The helicopter operation to move fencing material was memorable. One bundle of stobs was way too big and after the chopper struggled to get off the ground the bundle broke open, the helicopters rocketed skyward and the stobs sprayed over the ploughed peat!"
The PDF below shows a view of the helicopter which looks very like the Dollar Company machine G-AZNI.
Is that Loch Kennard in the distance?
Any comments on this and any helicopter fence distribution welcome.
