Retirement of George Brown at Durris, Aberdeenshire Forest District

This occasion was the held in honour of the retirement of Geordie Brown who had worked for the Forestry Commission in the Durris Forest area for over 40 years. A note of the exact years would be very welcome. An Orcadian by birth Geordie had over the years worked his way up to Foreman and was latterly heavily involved in the harvesting operations in the Kincardine area. By this date the Kincardine and Buchan Forest Districts had been just amalgamated into Aberdeenshire Forest District.
