Forest squad at Garshelloch Forest
The photographs are courtesy of Will Anderson, Seafield and Strathspey Estates, and his father Willie Anderson. Both men worked for a period with the Forestry Commission in Tulliallan Nursery and surrounding forests.
An early frosty morning view of the valley up towards the Sidlaw Hills and the Bridge of Allan as the squad from Garshelloch Forest prepare for a deer drive with assistance from three estate workers from neighbouring landowners.
The forester at the time was Will Keiller but he is not in the image. The photo was taken by the ganger Arthur McPherson who was apparently a keen amateur photographer.
