The photographs are courtesy of Will Anderson, Seafield and Strathspey Estates. Will worked for a period with the Forestry Commission in Tulliallan Nursery and surrounding forests.

Longannet power station is still being demolished (2020), the chimney and parts of the generating hall have still to be demolished and so far 98.5% of the materials have been recovered and recycled!

Is that a difference in tree species or provenance at the far end of the bed and to the right of the image? They both appear to be pine species, but I'm not going to hazard a guess any further. Regards, Bill Comment left on 18 May 2020 at 23:39 by Bill Rayner
