Line up of James Motorcycles 200cc Captain K7T
Photograph is courtesy of Jim Christie, Crook of Devon, a former senior mechanical engineer in the Forestry Commission.
An unusual image which shows a consignment of motorcycles in a Forestry Commission workshop ready for dispatch to forests. Motorcycles were used by foresters and occasionally forest rangers or keepers as they were known then.
The full details of the machines are not visible but there is mention of a 7E Engine which probably places the models close to 1953.
Any further details very welcome.
