Nancy and I lived at Lock 9, Dunardry when we attended Cairnbaan school. Our dad was Jimmy Simpson, sadly died aged 43yrs in 1971 so we moved from a tied canal house into the village! Comment left on 17 July 2024 at 10:37 by Margaret McCallion (Simpson)
I am researching my family tree. Mrs Boyd was my Great Aunt. It is lovely to see this photograph of her. Are there any more? Comment left on 19 August 2025 at 10:06 by Eleanor Duddy
Thank you for your comment Eleanor. As I moderate the website I would like to add a first name to Mrs Boyd and extend the courtesy of a full name. Sorry I have not received any other images.

Kind regards, Norman

My Great Aunt must have retired within a few years of this photo being taken (she was ca. 58 when the photo was taken). Can anyone help me with the year of her retirement? Comment left on 22 August 2025 at 19:27 by Eleanor Duddy
