In East Woodlands Nursery – Kirkhill Forest
The photograph is courtesy of Peter White (Perth) and Bill Sinclair (Turriff).
The best view of the nursery adapted plough hitched on behind the Bristol tractor. Unfortunately the adaption mechanisms are not clearly defined but Bill recalls that the machine cut a new trench when filling in and packing against the lining out boards.
There is obviously a discussion ongoing with Alex Mitchell (tractor driver), one other worker and a well dressed gentleman (could he be the forester?)
The forester’s names linked with Kirkhill at around and before this period are J Guild, G Gilbert, R M Hyslop, Sandy Davidson, ?Jolly and Jim Allan. R J G Horne was also Assistant Conservator
