Kirkhill Forest workers at tea break

The men having a break from possibly fencing or clearing a rabbit fence. The man on the far side of the fence is named as Hector Macdonald and on this side Gordon (surname?) and Dan MacEwen nearest camera. Is that a pie he is holding?

Its fantastic to see forest workers smiling, often the work was laborious and under harsh conditions.
