100 years of Scottish Forestry Event at Contin
Malcolm Wield, Glenurquhart, forwarded an image of forestry staff, past and present, attending a local celebration event to mark the Centenary of the Forestry Commission (as was) or 100 years of Scottish Forestry. The Forestry and Land Scotland staff from the new Northern Region based in and around Inverness, Glen Affric and Contin and also those from Scottish Forestry, Highland, organised and took part in the event. Peter Mackay FLS based in Dingwall has worked with others to supply many of the names of those in the photograph. Note FLS (Forestry and Land Scotland) and SF (Scottish Forestry) are the new short form organisation titles that took over from FES (Forest Enterprise Scotland) and FCS (Forestry Commission Scotland) designations. The latter is used for retired staff who attended the event.
