The workers heading to or from work at Kirkhill Forest with personal transport (bike), tools (weeding hook {heugh} and spade), dining facilities (piece bags) and weather protection (oilskin jacket and leggings).
Bill who worked at Kirkhill Forest from 1953-58 has named the men from the left as Bill Bisset, Jim Murray and Dan MacEwan.
Any further information on the Kirkhill work squads and these men would be very welcome.
