Eilanreach Forest – Torr an Tuirc Road drawing – Loch Hourn Section
One of a series of maps and drawings found in old ex military map cases stored in the loft of the Fort August Forest office and recovered by Grant Macintosh.
A road engineering survey and profile drawing for Torr an Tuirc forest access road into the lower part of Loch Hourn section of Eilanreach Forest. According to details on the second drawing (next record after this one) this was originally a part made track possibly when the road down to Port Luinge was constructed.
The drawing is signed by Mike Johnson and dated Dec 1964. Any details of this road construction and work operations in the forest would be very welcome.
