Forestry Commission Road Engineering team
The photograph is courtesy of Iain Gale, mobile plant manager with James Jones at Lockerbie, who started his forestry career as a Forest Craftsman chainsaw operator in 1981at Forestry Commission Dalbeattie Forest and onwards to Harvesting Foreman at Kielder FD.
Iain worked with the Road Squad as a driver for a time and here he comments
“FC West Roads Leyland Constructor 8 wheel tipper at Borgan Quarry, Glentrool. This tipper was driven by Iain Gale from 1988 to 1992”.
