Eilanreach Forest – Glenn Beag

One of a series of maps and drawings found in old ex military map cases stored in the loft of the Fort August Forest office and recovered by Grant Macintosh.
This part forest map of Glenn Beag has been created on a map following acquisition and as well as the compartment boundaries and species shows the legal access routes to the forest. From memory it may be that the one shown as No 8 or one further up the river (No 9) was the one over which the forest road was eventually actually constructed. Most of this area was planted within two years 1928 and 1929 and is shown in the map following this one.
