One of a series of maps and drawings found in old ex military map cases stored in the loft of the Fort August Forest office and recovered by Grant Macintosh.

The extreme southern area of Eilanreach Forest proposed acquisition near Arnisdale. The land survey highlights the vegetation and soil conditions with the generally plantable areas shaded in pink and unplantable in a blue wash.

The large ink blots highlight the hazards of using pen and ink and the result of the ink bottle being knocked over.

Any stories related to this area and names of people who worked there would be very welcome. in the late 1970s there were at least two men still working in this area but names not recalled.
