Forestry Folk 400 at Huntly
Image by Norman Davidson is a combination of two images to show the gathering of ten retired people whose total service in forestry was almost four hundred years. Most of those shown here from Huntly, Ryhnie, Insch and Buckie areas were former members of Forestry Commission Buchan Forest District and latterly some in Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District.
Representing the sawmill trade is Geordie Gordon who worked as a timber lorry driver initially with Riddochs of Rothiemay and then James Jones and Sons Ltd.

If 12 years of part time working on Forestry Memories website were added the 400 years would be comfortably passed.
