Strathyre Forestry Hostel boys circa 1955
Photograph courtesy of William Fleming, Polmont who worked in Strathyre Forest as an apprentice Forest Craftsman and stayed in the hostel for a time around 1957-58.
Some earlier hostel members and staff outside the hostel and stocking up the wood shed with what appears to be pointings from the process of making fence posts at a sawmill. Frank Sim is left and Mike Cairney on the right.
Any more information would be very welcome.
