Ploughing tractors Cloich Forest
The photographs are courtesy of Stuart Mitchell, Peebles area, who formerly worked at Glentress Forest.
Two ploughing tractors, Fiat 100Cs, with both rear winches in operation on what could be the deep draining plough out of picture but it is an unusual set up as tractors would normally be in tandem.
It is possible this photograph was taken at the same time as that of Record No 4161 where the large D7 had slipped off the low loader and the winch ropes of these two machines are being used to stabilise the low loader trailer. The same two ropes could be those seen in one of the images in the PDF.
Can anyone name the tractor drivers here or any ploughing tractor drivers working in South Scotland?
One tractor has registration number MGN571L. Can the man in the hat be named?
