The documents are courtesy of Glenbranter Forest office staff and in particular Ian Adams who retained these files for many years.
The correspondence and comments on the history were retained in this file and give a little insight into the problems in compiling the report and also how the early version as recorded in Record No 4135 was written prior to the writer (Mr S M Petrie) seeing the required format as detailed by headquarters.
The comments by Director Scotland, Sir Henry Beresford-Peirse, and West Scotland Conservator, J R Thom and those or Robert A Innes from the Director Office are brief and to the point!
