Maps are courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and show the forest area originally known as Strathdearn Forest near Culloden.

The hand drawn map details the planting from 1947 through to 1959 in Compartments 1- 54. The tree species is a mix of Scots pine mainly with some Sitka spruce and Lodgepole pine (PC).
