Glentress Forest Walk Leaflet 1967
This rare item was provided by Ruth Robertson of Peebles and must be one of the earliest Forest Walk leaflets in Scotland.
The text describes each site at various stops around two walks and some descriptions of species, geography and history. The text is in the attached PDF as is the map as the end page. The map is also located in the large image.
Note that this leaflet was printed in the Peebles newspaper offices with design probably by the local forest staff and could well be one of the earliest FC leaflets in Scotland. Can anyone say if there are any earlier ones? The language and topic is very functional compared with the leaflets of today!
