Glentress Forest Trails Map — Small Holdings
The image has been provided with help from Ruth Robertson and centres on the area around Eshiels, bought by the Board of Agriculture Scotland. This was the area of land divided up into small holdings specifically for returning service personnel after the end of WW1.
George Robertson and family lived in the house on the land at Low Falla and it was here that he set up his sawmill producing mainly material for the farming sector.
The PDF contains some historical information on the Eshiels area and the details of the purchase of the land by the Board of Agriculture Scotland.
