A view of the Wilder – Rainthorpe brash chopper hydraulically linked to Ford super 4x4 but driven by the PTO shaft. The site at Redesdale shows the effectiveness of the chopper over very dense Sitka spruce clear felling brash where it has just made a start to clearing operations.
For its time this must have been a very powerful chipper and branch pulveriser. Any details would be very welcome.

A leaflet containing the Forestry Commission report upon this machines trials is held at the Museum of English Rural Life and requests would have to be addressed to them.
