Shin Forest — Fiat 100 & Tine Plough
Photograph is courtesy and copyright of Forestry Commission, Forest Research, Roslin, and provided with help from Glen Brearley. FR Photo number No B7329 taken by H G?
The text reads as ‘Fiat 100 Clawler tractor, Cultivation ploughing with Parkgate Universal Carriage and Ine single furrow plough.’
The profile of the distant hill ridge and the year points to the location being Benmore Forest out towards and northwards over the hill from Loch Craggie? The valley could be that of the River Oykell. Please see the PDF for other views.
Can the driver be named – see large photograph.
