Hathaway Fire Pumps Mark I and II

The text says little about the image other than this are ‘Hathaway water pumps Mark I and II (Difference in Pumps Drive).’
The one nearest to the camera and on a shorter base looks very new and may be the Mark II version. The other one has a cowling over the connector between the engine and centrifugal pump casing. This appears to have been modified in Mark II so that the pump and engine casings carrying an enclosed shaft are bolted directly together.
