The text read as,
‘P28 planting of Pinus contorta and Sitka spruce. All had initially 2 ozs slag but were badly in check in 1945 when Sitka spruce on the right was top dressed with 3 ozs basic slag per tree giving big response. The Pinus contorta is of Alberta origin. Expt 55P28 Lon Mor.
