Date Added: 20 September 2017 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1934 Picture No: 3751

The document is courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and provides a very brief description of the forest area, the plantations and the future programme all written in succinct style by District Officer Frank Oliver. See attached PDF for the full plan.

The forest was fully planted up and was being maintained on a care and maintenance basis with one Forest Worker Holding established in 1934. The Forestry Commission acquired 84.5 acres of forest with the land and had planted a further 565 acres by 1933.

The plan is signed off in 1935 by James Fraser who would have been Divisional Officer at the time.
