Lorry Accident — Jimmy Munro circa 1964
Photograph is courtesy of Margaret Murray, daughter of Jimmy Munro.
Apparently Jimmy was carrying a digger and had stopped in a lay by near Huntly when another lorry careered into the front of him. Jimmy was severely injured but after a time was able to return to work and carried on driving.
Looking at the damage and the jib and bucket of the crane behind the seat It is difficult to imagine anyone surviving such an event.
The PDF shows the ERF lorry Registration Number 150 DXC in better shape.
