Findhorn Bay and Culbin Forest

The origin of this photograph is uncertain as it may have been taken around 1972 from the Forestry Commission forest survey aircraft or possibly by Sinclair M Ross who worked for the RAF.

The oblique angle highlights the full extent of Findhorn Bay at high tide and the eastern side of Culbin Forest is visible on the right hand side. Sinclair was a meteorologist with the RAF and had a great interest in the geological processes that formed the area around Culbin Forest and Findhorn.
