Photograph courtesy of Sandy Gordon, Nairn, whose father James Gordon was a long service forester in the Forestry Commission latterly at Ferness Forest, Nairnshire. Sandy also worked for seven years with the Commission as a mechanic based at Longman workshop.

A view of the blade of the BTD20 Dozer Registration 691ELM driven by George Maclean as it breasts a rising slope before heading on the down slope of a forest road being built through the forest area near Airdrie in Findhorn Valley. Difficult undulation terrain with many cuttings through high spurs and gullies with high risks of drain washouts.

Not certain but could be Coulmony House on the opposite bank of the Findhorn River with Darnaway Forest behind.
