Hand drawn and coloured map of part of Glenurquhart Forest near the village of Milton. The earliest planting annotated is around 1951 proceeding up to 1955. Unusually the compartment numbers are in the hundreds and jump from 300 to the 400 series for no apparent reason on this map. Perhaps if the other maps were available this would become clearer particularly as the forest was in existence from before 1924.
Unusually the forester has colour coded the tree species on part of the map with symbols to differentiate between the multiple species. There is a resurveyed stock map available for the whole forest but unfortunately the planting year and many of the species detail are missing.
