A view from across the extensive front lawn showing the full width of the building. The top three floors of the tower were used as accommodation for students and the rest of the building as further accommodation for students and staff, offices and a number of lecture rooms. The extension on the extreme right is the purpose built billiard room. There was a basement with a large ancient boiler and a storage area for the coke fuel, procured from the gas works in Dunoon.
