Panmure Estate 1979

‘On Panmure Estate cross cutting of what was left of a clear fell of mature mixed hard woods and soft wood with one of the estate's two Stihl Lightening chainsaws. This one was the early model with a four foot blade.
Note the repair on the Cranab jib just above the main lift ram. Damage at the original welding caused by lifting more that it was made for. Two months after this photo was taken the whole machine was overhauled and resprayed’.
