Opening of Puck’s Glen

This reference to ‘British Association’ and in later images ‘Society of Foresters of Great Britain’ in 1928 and 1929 respectively is somewhat confusing. The latter body was formed in 1925 and later renamed the Institute of Charted Foresters (ICF). Any suggestion as to what ‘British Association’ refers to would be welcome.

The opening of Puck’s Glen walk may have taken some time to plan and execute and that the gifting of Benmore Estate and House in 1927 to the nation occurred before it was fully complete. Perhaps Mr Henry G Younger (on far left with folded coat on arm) was taking the last opportunity to promote his Estate. Does this building structure still exist at the top of the walk?
