Retirement of Peter McKenzie, Strathconon

Date Added: 17 October 2016 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1989 Picture No: 3420

Photograph passed on from Ronnie Lee of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District with help from Steve Smith and Alex MacLennan.

The retirement and presentation of Long Service Certificate is thought to have happened about 1989 in what was then Easter Ross Forest District.

The naming of the people from the Torrachilty Forest area is a little uncertain and some details may be incorrect in this image showing Bob Dunsmore (District Manager or District Forester) handing over Peter’s certificate.

The people named from the left are:
1. Tim Taylor (Former Chief Forester – retired?)
2. added I Brown (Lael) see comments
3. Murdo MacBeth - Corrected to Murdo Maclennan see comments
4. added D Urquhart (Strathconon) - see comments
5. Jimmy Stewart (at back)
6. Peter McKenzie
7. Bill Greig
8. Bob Dunsmore
9. Donald MacRae (Hidden)
10. Alex MacLennan
11. Fred McCreadie (Forester)
12. Kenny ?

Any corrections on names, name spelling and work role information would be much appreciated.
