Strathconon Forest planting map

The map is courtesy of Forestry Commission at Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District.
The early hand drawn map of Strathconon Forest has unusually a mixed pallet of colours which appears to denote different tree species. However the colours and species are not consistent throughout the Planting Years (PY) 1947 through to 1963.
The tree species is varied with quite substantial areas of Scots pine(SP), Sitka and Norway spruce(SS, NS), European larch(EL) and Douglas Fir (DF).
